I do NOT get flustered easily on camera, but what transpired in the moments leading up to my interview with Of Mice & Men frontman, Austin Carlile, shall forever remain a mystery to those who weren’t around to witness it.
I’ll admit I really didn’t know much about Austin, but from the moment we met, he had a charismatic energy that made this one of the most fun interviews I’ve ever done.
Warped Tour 2012 was very nostalgic for everyone in their mid to late-20s with band like Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, and my fellow Jacksonville natives, Yellowcard. There’s a new wave of Warped Tour concertgoers that will look back on their experience 10 years from now and Of Mice & Men will be the band that takes them back to those awkward teen years and makes them thankful the music was there to get them through high school.

With that said, I’m happy I got the opportunity to meet and have a one-on-one experience with Austin. Even though it was one of my most embarrassing moments, I love that the fans find just as much humor in it as I do because it really is funny to watch 🙂
